CID educational curricula and assessment tools are designed specifically for teachers and clinicians to assess and intervene to improve deaf children's development of speech, language, listening and developmental skills. Most of these instruments are suitable for use with all children who are deaf or hard of hearing regardless of the educational approach.
CID SPICE: Speech Perception Instructional Curriculum and Evaluation
A "must have" for teachers and audiologists involved in listening and spoken language deaf education today, is used for developing auditory skills in young children with cochlear implants and/or hearing aids. The CID SPICE makes auditory learning easy and fun for both the teacher/clinician and the child. CID ESP: Early Speech Perception Test - Newly Updated, Available June 2012
The CID Early Speech Perception Test battery is a test of speech perception for children as young as 3 years old who are profoundly deaf. The ESP is typically used by audiologists and may be used to establish objectives and to measure effects of a hearing aid or a cochlear implant in terms of their impact on the child's speech perception ability. The kit includes a newly revised manual, scoring forms, a box of toys, full-color picture cards and a new, clinician friendly cd featuring easy-to-use menus, digitally remastered sounds, two randomizations and a new All Words menu for use with set protocols and research. In the 2012 update, the original ESP Test was respected, but enhanced.

CID Speech Skills Worksheets
CID teachers share their secret for tracking speech skills progress in children who are deaf and hard of hearing. This instrument uses a similar process and is a natural companion to the CID TAGS system (see below) for tracking language.

Rating forms assist teachers evaluating a deaf child's understanding and use of the grammatical structures of English.
